D’Focuz (read Design Focus) was initiated from an inspiration fed by the universal nature of Design with an aspiration and vision that conventional problems arising in Social, Organizational and Business Systems can be addressed by Design. This thought, though uncoventional in a way, emanates from the fact that Design is generally associated with usability and products when its meaning is much deeper. Ironical it is to find proclamations saying ‘Design is Universal’. D’Focuz initially is a thought space to identify problems without any reservations of practicality or culture across ecosystems. The problems identified are as observed and are devoid of any manipulation. They are driven by deep thinking aided by research, facts and interviews. There is no shying away from a problem just because there isn’t an immediate solution or poor feasibility of any solution that might arise.
Over a period of time, Gokul intends to define workable, implementable frameworks and solutions out the insights and observations gained for these problems.
